In May 2021 I had the opportunity to step back into the wedding photography world as a second shooter with the amazing Don Hales for the beautiful union of Alesha & Mark. It’s been about 3 years since I’ve shot a wedding and I had some interest in getting back into that field at some point. I must say that this was definitely the perfect wedding to start back up with and Don was the person that I needed to shoot with to get back into the groove! Weddings are a ton of work and very long days, but when you’re around great people it doesn’t feel as if you’re working at all.

I wasn’t privy to knowing the couple nor the family before the day of the wedding so I met everyone as the preparations began. I’m not sure if I’ve met a more welcoming group of people at a wedding before, honestly! These 2 families were incredibly hospitable & just overall fun to be around!

Alesha & Mark have an amazing story, too long to tell here but being apart of their story was an honor! I appreciate the hospitality & comfort that I received from this wedding party and it has sparked a comeback into the wedding photography world for myself. I’ve taken off plenty of time shooting weddings to hone in on my craft but I definitely got what I was looking for in shooting this wedding; confidence, structure and mental toughness.
